Clare knows just how important your wedding day is and that your cake plays a vital part in this as a luxury centrepiece.
Her focus is on delivering a high quality, friendly and personal experience from your very first enquiry, through to consultation, tasting, design and creation of the final piece of art. She makes no compromises in the quality of both artistic expression and indulgent flavours to match. Your cake needs to taste as good as it looks.
By taking very limited commissions each year, every cake that Clare creates has her undivided attention from the first email to the final set up on the day. This approach enables her to ensure that every cake is bespoke, unique and tailored perfectly to you as a couple.
1. Enquire about availability
When you are ready to talk cake, please enquire to establish if your wedding date is available. Try to give as much information as you can at this stage. Your date is then secured in the diary with a non-refundable deposit of £100.
2. Luxury tasting box
Once you've secured your date, you'll receive a complimentary luxury tasting box, delivered to your door for you to enjoy in the comfort of your own home. Each box contains five delicious signature flavours. Couples who have not secured their date may order a box for £35.
3. Consultation
Once you've enjoyed your tasting box at home, it's time to discuss the detail. During your virtual session you'll be able to tell Clare everything about the plans for your day, your styling, your approach and your wishes for your cake. It's a chance to discuss colours, flavours, design and budgets as well as get to know Clare.
4. Design
Following your consultation, Clare will hand illustrate a set of designs for your wedding cake, based on everything that you've told her which will enable you to visualise how it will look on the day.
5. On the day
Once your design and flavours are agreed, there's nothing more for you to do. You can relax about the cake and focus on your other plans, safe in the knowledge that the delivery and set up is all taken care of. Clare will liaise with your venue, florist or any other suppliers, as required.
Investment Guide
The cost of your wedding cake or dessert table will be determined by your number of guests, your chosen design and the location of your wedding. Every creation is bespoke and will be quoted for in full once your requirements have been discussed. To help you plan, below is a guide to the basic starting prices of tiered cakes and dessert table items, before decoration is taken into account. All decorative effects such as sugar flowers, metallics, piping, stencilling etc are priced up in addition. The average investment for a wedding of 100 people is £600.
Delivery
Delivery and setup is complimentary within 20 miles of the studio (Long Wittenham, Oxfordshire). Subsequent miles are charged at £1 per mile.
Stand Hire
Cake stand hire can be arranged for a small fee and a refundable damages deposit. Costs will be dependent on the style and number of stands required. Stands, props and table dressing are a really important part of the overall look of your cake or dessert table - it's well worth talking to Clare about getting this right.
